People often believe spending more time in the gym will make them lose weight, without watching their diet.

However, you can actually not out-train a bad diet. Diet is number uno for fat/weight loss. Simple as that.

What do you hate more: spending 30 minutes to prepare low-calorie, delicious meals for the week, or spending 30 minutes doing boring cardio at the gym?

Let me tell you that the first is a much better investment of your time, if your goal is to lose weight.

Compliment your training in the gym with intelligent nutrition; don’t reward it by stuffing yourself with donuts. It doesn’t work.
